About Me

New York, NY, United States
Once upon a time there was this grave, blond girl living at the coast of Norway. She was so bored with her life, that she decided to start over and travel across the sea. She ended up in New York City, the city of opportunities. Here she will hope to find Life, before she returns to Norway. You can follow her search in this blog.

There is a great deal of poetry and fine sentiment in a chest of tea

Today Annie invited me to the most charming place in Manhattan - Alice's Tea Cup. Their speciality is, of course, tea. They had a little black book full of different tastes you could choose from. In addition, they also have a good selection of different sandwiches, salads, scones, cookies, cakes and desserts. They were famous for the scones, so I tried two of them; one with cheese and ham, and one with chocolate and walnuts. It was the best pastry I had ever tasted. The one with ham and cheese was full of timian and merian, and tasted like the best foccacia you could imagine, with some delicious cheese on top and pieces of tasty ham inside. The other was just as good, with large pieces of pure chocolate melting on you tongue as you worked through the enormous scone. The meal was perfected with the special "Alice-tea". And, of course, the environment made the whole experience complete.

First the incredible thai-restaurant Spice, and now this wonderful place! Annie sure knows where to find the good stuff in this town.
