About Me

Once upon a time there was this grave, blond girl living at the coast of Norway. She was so bored with her life, that she decided to start over and travel across the sea. She ended up in New York City, the city of opportunities. Here she will hope to find Life, before she returns to Norway. You can follow her search in this blog.

City of glorious days

As a celebration that we were finally finished with the ridiculous and everlasting English-course, the whole class went out to dinner at one of the fantastic Spice restaurants located throughout Manhattan. To my surprise, just a few had heard of the restaurant, and were therefore a bit hesitant about the food. But I assured them that it no matter what they picked, it would be one of the top ten things they had tasted. No one were disappointed, even though some found the food challengingly hot and spicy.

After the wonderful dinner some of us went out to continue the celebration. Four of us eventually ended up at the legendary 1OAK, which was cool but still a bit overrated. Nevertheless, we had a good time dancing the night away with the elite of NYC.

And, oh, one more thing. My family just arrived on Monday. Since they live next to Macy's, they spent most of yesterday there (and some in Victoria's Secret). Still, I have  been able to show them Bleecker Street and some parts of the Village. I think it was a relief for them to get away from the tourist-heavy streets of Midtown, and spend some time in the calm and supercharming streets of Greenwich Village.
