This week has been all about studying and preparing for the exams. But sometimes you need to take a pause, and have some fun. At least when it's the birthday of one of the Markle-girls. Nobody wants to spend their birthday reading about Platon, Aristoteles and Aquinas.
We all (that includes my guest, Caroline) decided to celebrate the birthday by going out for a fancy dinner. The birtday-girl herself is an vegetarian, so it seemed right to order a table at the best vegetarian restaurant in Manhattan, Gobo.
Gobo was amazing. The mood of the place was perfect, the vaitors were informed and the food was unbelievable good. The prizes wasn't too bad, either. We'll definitely go back there.
Gobo closed at 11 pm, so we decided to check out a new bar in the neighborhood before heading home. The bar was so funky, with the rocked up interior, the cool people who worked there, the fantastic bartenders (and fantastic drinks), and the constant stream of great rock and roll-music. We ended up drinking too many drinks and staying until they closed.
Now it's straight back to studying again. Well, I'm just gonna show Caroline the great garage flea-market at 25th street, and then I'll go back to my books.
Just can't wait to be finished with the exams.
