About Me

New York, NY, United States
Once upon a time there was this grave, blond girl living at the coast of Norway. She was so bored with her life, that she decided to start over and travel across the sea. She ended up in New York City, the city of opportunities. Here she will hope to find Life, before she returns to Norway. You can follow her search in this blog.

And Broadway make one with that marvelous stair, that is climbed by the rainbow-clad spirits of praye

Yesterday my family and I were genuine tourists. First, I met them for dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe at Times Square.

The food was, as always on Hard Rock, great. However, the experience was not so great it could have been, had we had more time. You see, we were on a deadline to pick up tickets to a Broadway-show. So after the dinner, we went straight up to the Ambassador Theater, and saw the legendary musical Chicago.

The show was great, and the performers so talented. It was an ultimate Broadway-experience to see one of the most classic and famous shows of them all.
After the show the night was still young, and the air was clear. So we decided to stop by Empire State Building on our way home, for a quick look at the city from above. We figured, that since it was so late in the evening (and quite cold), there would not be too many tourist visiting the Empire, and then there would be few queues.
Unfortunately, we were terribly wrong. We ended up standing in line for about 90 minutes, and when we finally came up, we were so tired that we only bared to be up there for 10 minutes. Nevertheless, it really was a spectacular sight, with the straight lines of traffic light moving in grid-pattern around the fabulously up lighted skyscrapers.
